At the top of America’s heartland and snug against the great Mississippi River, Minneapolis, Minnesota, is the kind of city that families call home for generations.
A large part of our appeal for old-timers and attraction for newcomers is the city’s magnificent Park System, originally laid out over 100 years ago by visionaries who recognized abundant green space was essential to a vital community.
Today, the Minneapolis Parks Foundation takes up this vision with the Next Generation of Parks™, a compelling mission through which the organization, our members and the public will build on our heritage and help bring to life 21st century parks in Minneapolis and cities around the world.
