Team Pentair Day with Brian Dozier

July 21, 2015 by Kayann Comeaux

On Thursday, July 9, it was a beautiful day in Minneapolis’ backyard when the buses pulled up to Mill City Museum with over 80 Pentair employees from four different sites, all coming together to serve a unified purpose. The morning was dedicated to cleaning the Mississippi riverfront at Mill Ruins Park in preparation for new developments in park and recreation for the community to enjoy. Team Pentair was buzzing about Brain Dozier coming by to lend a helping hand  (no pun intended) and surely he did with his approachable demeanor and winning smile.

Team Pentair was split into three work teams to tackle weeds and invasive species throughout Mill Ruins Park. Team leads even sparked a little healthy competition for the largest weed piles. They cheered each other on with an enthusiastic high-five to the winners.

Pentair is the official water provider for the Minnesota Twins, so it was fitting for Team Pentair to enjoy the game later that evening to cheer on their partner. This was the week when fans voted in All-Star players, so there were even a few signs reading #VoteDozier sprinkled throughout the hills. It was refreshing to see Dozier navigate between small groups chatting, taking pictures and helping out with Team Pentair.

As a Pentair Foundation grantee, the Minneapolis Parks Foundation was proud to be a part of this monumental partnership, which included the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board and Mill City Museum. Pentair’s dedication to reduce, recover and reuse water is instrumental in the health of our rivers, parks and people.

When the work was complete, there were no shortages of congratulatory embraces, “selfies” and a “job well done” nods of approval from all involved. A company promoting teamwork for the greater good contributes to its success, as well as the people they serve. Thank you, Team Pentair!
