MPF welcomes Meg Forney & Christine Moir

We’re happy to welcome two new colleagues to the Minneapolis Parks Foundation.

In January, the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board appointed Meg Forney as one of its two ex officio members of our Board of Directors. Meg is a Minneapolis Park Board Commissioner-At Large and will be serving a one-year term with MPF. Superintendent Jayne Miller is the Park Board’s other representative on our Board.

“Our parks define the quality of life in our city,” Meg writes on her Minneapolis Park Board profile page. “I look forward to expanding that amazing quality of life for all Minneapolitans as your Commissioner-At Large.”

Last November, MPF announced our Board of Directors elected four new members starting three-year terms this year.

Also new to MPF is Christine Moir, Annual Fund and Events Manager. In this new position, Christine will focus on engaging our Member-Donors through outreach efforts and community and donor events.

You’ll find Christine’s fingerprints on our existing work – like our Sunrise Breakfast, Next Generation of Parks™ Lecture Series, and annual fund programs. You’ll also see some exciting new ideas from Christine, who comes to us with experience from Portland, OR’s, Children’s Museum and the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago.
