MPF receives generous grant for Water Works

This month the St. Anthony Falls Heritage Board (SAFHB) awarded the Minneapolis Parks Foundation a $40,000 grant to support our Water Works project. SAFHB has generously supported Water Works since 2012, which falls within the St. Anthony Falls Heritage Zone.

MPF will use the grant to support the work of Bruce Chamberlain, the first Minneapolis Parks Fellow. Chamberlain is concentrating, in part, on furthering our Water Works project by overseeing critical next steps including developing a detailed project schedule and organizational diagram, as well as creating program and operating models for the future park. He’ll also be integral to ongoing partner and community relations.

SAFHB is a part of the Minnesota Historical Society. The Minnesota Legislature initiated the SAFHB in 1988 “for the purpose of providing interpretive resources for the public within the St. Anthony Falls Heritage Zone.”

The Minneapolis Parks Foundation would like to extend our sincere gratitude for the Heritage Board’s continuing support. Thank you!

YOUR DONATION helps ensure the parks in our city remain accessible, equitable and serving everyone.
