About the 2021 Posters Sale

Over 40 local artists were selected to create original art inspired by our community’s much-loved parks and the people, plants, and animals that share them. We kicked-off this year’s event with a presale on Saturday, October 23, and sold an opening-day record 435 posters.

Proceeds from the Posters for Parks Show benefit the community, with 50% going directly to the artists and proceeds from the other 50% designated for the People for Parks Fund which supports community-grown programming in Minneapolis parks. The event showcases the work of local artists and highlights the role of art in making the world a better place.

2020 Virtual Poster Show

On October 17, 2020, Minneapolis arts and parks came together online for the 5th annual Posters for Parks Show and “virtual cocktail hour,” kickstarting a week-long celebration and sharing of parks-inspired design. And after all the posters were counted, it was the most successful poster show yet. A grand total of 811 posters found their way into the hands and onto the walls of fine folks from northern Minnesota to Atlanta, GA, and from Portland, OR, to Brooklyn, NY, along the way generating more than $33,000 to support the Minneapolis Parks Foundation’s People for Parks Fund and local artists.
