Posters for Parks Show

Minneapolis Parks Foundation > Posters for Parks Show

POSTERS for PARKS is an annual show featuring limited-edition posters inspired by Minneapolis Parks. The event is a joint venture of LoveMplsParks and the Minneapolis Parks Foundation.

Proceeds from the Posters for Parks Show benefit the local community, with 50% designated for the Parks Foundation’s People for Parks Fund to protect and preserve the award-winning Minneapolis park system and 50% going directly to the artists. The event showcases the work of local artists and highlights the role of art in making the world a better place. Each year, anywhere from 100-150 local designers, artists, and illustrators apply to be in the show, while the event features some 40 artists who create beautiful, original posters for purchase.

2020 Virtual Poster Show

On October 17, 2020, Minneapolis arts and parks came together online for the 5th annual Posters for Parks Show and “virtual cocktail hour,” kickstarting a week-long celebration and sharing of parks-inspired design. And after all the posters were counted, it was the most successful poster show yet. A grand total of 811 posters found their way into the hands and onto the walls of fine folks from northern Minnesota to Atlanta, GA, and from Portland, OR, to Brooklyn, NY, along the way generating more than $33,000 to support the Minneapolis Parks Foundation’s People for Parks Fund and local artists.

Scenes from Past Posters for Parks Events

From 2016-2019, one-night-only in-person Posters for Parks events sold a combined 1,700+ posters and generated more than $20,000 to support community driven parks projects and programs.
