MPF is hitting Get Outdoors Day this Saturday, June 11,  at Powderhorn Park, 12 noon to 4pm. This is an awesome free family event co-hosted by some of the most dedicated and knowledgeable outdoor groups in town – Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board, Minnesota DNR, National Park Service, US Fish & Wildlife Service and REI.

This year, youngsters can become an “Activity Scout” by picking up a treasure hunt card from MPF’s booth and trying activities throughout the festival – like archery, canoeing, or fishing. For each activity kids try, they’ll get a stamp – six stamps earns a prize from MPF.
