University of Minnesota Students for Design Activism will host a “Conversation on the State of Water,” this Friday, April 11, beginning at 3pm. The 6.5-hour symposium will bring city designers, makers and builders of all kinds, legislators and policy makers, scientists, academics, students, and water-focused persons (like me!) and organizations together around “future scenarios and imagined solutions to clean, abundant water in Minnesota.”

Lest you think six hours seems bit much for a Friday evening symposium: Networking over food and drinks and the premiere of the film Watershed will intermit the two panel discussions, “Building a Future for Water” and “Steps Toward Change.” Get discussion descriptions and speaker bios.
