One of my favorite moments of each year is the release of our Annual Report. This year is no different. In the coming days, the 2022-2023 Annual Report – Growing Generosity will arrive in mailboxes, be delivered to recreation centers, and shared online. Within it you will find a great summary of the work you have helped support over the years.

This year’s report shows the culmination of our work that so many people contribute to in various ways – through participation, donations, and volunteering.  Ultimately, generosity is what drives our mission. Individuals contributing time and talents, donors giving financially, and community members coming together to support our parks and invest in our work. 

None of our work could be accomplished without the thoughtful leadership of our volunteers serving on our Board of Directors and Advisory Committees.   Comprised of 22 community volunteers representing all corners and multiple perspectives of the greater Minneapolis community, the Minneapolis Parks Foundation Board contributes hundreds of hours each year and provides thoughtful counsel guiding our work. They are the stewards of your generosity and support all aspects of our mission. Additionally, our work is always in close coordination and partnership with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, the public stewards of a city park system that continues to be recognized as one of the best park systems in America.
