We are excited to once again host an Earth Day Clean Up site at Minnehaha Falls Regional Park as part of the annual collaboration between Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and the City of Minneapolis Solid Waste and Recycling. Join us on Saturday, April 23 at Minnehaha Falls from 9:30 am to 12 pm. We’ll gather at the picnic tables between Sea Salt and the Minnehaha Falls Parking lot (see location here).
It’s free to participate and everyone is encouraged to participate. Kids and dogs are encouraged! Bags and gloves will be provided and available on a first come, first serve basis. No registration needed, just show up. If Minnehaha Falls isn’t a convenient destination for you, check out the many other locations in Minneapolis parks, neighborhoods, and watersheds that are hosting Earth Day clean up sites here.
Don’t forget to share pictures of your morning’s trash haul with Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board on Facebook @MPLSEarthDay using the hashtag #mplsDIYEarthDay.
We hope you have a fantastic weekend celebrating Earth Day wherever your path leads. For more Minneapolis-based Earth Day events check out our latest Listicle, 5 Earth Day Activities for your whole family to enjoy!
